Kangaroos and Kiwis coming to Canberra

The Kangaroos and the Kiwis will go head-to-head in Canberra next April as the city celebrates 100 years as Australia’s capital.

It’s an early opportunity for the current Four Nations champions Australia and reigning world champion New Zealand to put down a marker ahead of October’s Rugby League World Cup.

Canberra hosted the France v Scotland match during the 2008 tournament.

Fiji think global, act local

Fiji’s National Rugby League is on the look out for local talent ahead of RLWC2013.

Whilst the Fijians would love to be able to call on overseas-based players such as Newcastle Knight’s NRL flyer Akuila Uate, the game’s governing body hopes that players will also emerge from a stronger domestic competition.

Look out for Celts and Panthers in Colwyn Bay

Rugby League’s inaugural North Wales Championship reaches its climax this Saturday (18th August) at Colwyn Bay.

Prestatyn Panthers take on Conwy Celts at 4pm – the climax of a day-long festival of junior Rugby League.
